Our mission

United Way of the Lakeshore is dedicated to creating brighter futures for families across our three-county region by connecting them to vital services and fostering community engagement. Through our partner programs, we served over 133,000 families in 2023, while our 211 helpline linked more than 18,000 individuals to essential resources. We empower volunteers, who contributed 15,500 hours in 2023, to make a lasting impact through initiatives like mobile food pantries and community support programs.

How you help

By supporting United Way of the Lakeshore, you can help transform lives by ensuring families have access to critical services like food, shelter, and education across our communities. Your involvement, whether through volunteering your time, donating resources, or partnering with our programs, strengthens our ability to connect people to the 211 helpline and support over 133,000 families annually. Together, we can build a stronger, more resilient Lakeshore region where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
