Opportunities

Blood Donor Ambassador Volunteers

The American Red Cross has a high-priority need for Blood Donor Ambassador Volunteers to continue delivering services to our communities. These volunteers welcome visitors to Red Cross facilities or blood drives and take their temperature before they enter. Visitors could include potential blood donors, clients, course participants, and Red Cross employees and volunteers.

Host a Blood Drive

One person can help save hundreds of lives by hosting a blood drive. It’s a rewarding experience.
As a blood drive coordinator you will take leadership; work with many groups or people across your organization; bring people together in a spirit of teamwork to make your event successful, and promote a cause that could help save millions of lives each year.

How you help

You can save lives by donating blood or platelets through our Michigan blood drives, where your contribution supports over 6 million transfusions nationwide annually, or by making a financial gift online to fund disaster relief efforts that respond to home fires and severe weather in our state. Become a volunteer by signing up for training in disaster action teams, shelter operations, or teaching CPR and first aid classes to equip communities with essential skills. Share our mission on social media or host a local fundraiser to amplify awareness and resources for Michigan families in need.
