Our mission	SWMLC works to conserve the scenic and ecologically important landscapes that give our region its natural character — now and for generations to come.

Opportunities	Saturday Workdays Anyone is welcome to pitch in to help keep our preserves up to snuff. Plus, it’s a great way to meet other conservation-minded folk! One-time, Occasional, Weekly, Monthly 55+, Adults, Child with Adult Individuals, Groups (2-10), Families Physical, Outdoor On-site Weekends Odd Jobs Office maintenance, stuffing envelopes, data entry, weeding the flower beds — less glamorous volunteering for which we are grateful nonetheless! Occasional, Monthly Teens, 55+, Adults, Child with Adult Individuals, Families Office work, Event support, Indoor, Outdoor On-site Weekdays, Weekends Wednesday Warriors The Wednesday Warriors are a friendly group of volunteers who have met on a near-weekly basis since 2002 to lop and chop their way through veritable jungles of invasive vegetation. How you help	SWMLC offers a variety of ways for individuals and communities to engage in conservation. We provide opportunities for landowners to protect their properties through conservation easements, ensuring that their land remains preserved for future generations. Our public nature preserves are open to everyone year-round, offering spaces for outdoor recreation and connection with nature. Additionally, we welcome volunteers to participate in stewardship activities, helping to maintain and enhance these protected areas. By joining our efforts, you contribute to the preservation of the natural beauty and ecological health of southwest Michigan.
